FAQ

Do the filters remove viruses?

Standard microfilters (BeFree, Hiker Pro, Pocket, etc.) handle bacteria and protozoa but cannot reliably remove viruses. If viruses are a concern, choose the Explorer Pro, or add virus-killing purification tablets or a UV device.

How long does a cartridge last?

It varies widely by model and water quality; follow the manufacturer's figures on each product page. Replace it when the flow drops noticeably and cleaning no longer restores it.
