COGHLAN'S #0905 Emergency Signal Mirror
- In the wilderness or at sea, light is the signal of distress that travels the farthest. Coghlan's #0905 Emergency Signal Mirror combines precise aiming technology with a durable floating design, reflecting a strong light that can travel up to 25 miles (approximately 40 kilometers) in ideal conditions, making it your most reliable "visual emergency contact" for outdoor activities.
- 25-Mile (Approx. 40 km) Ultra-Long Range Light Transmission: The highly reflective surface produces a dazzling flash that can be clearly caught by aircraft, ships, or search and rescue personnel tens of kilometers away, significantly increasing the chances of rescue.
- Precise Retro-Reflective Sighting Grid: The exclusive Sight-grid aiming system allows users to accurately lock onto targets through the grid, ensuring the reflected beam is precisely projected to the search and rescue party, rather than flashing aimlessly.
- Durable Acrylic and Floating Properties: Made with a reinforced acrylic casing, it is not only drop-resistant and impact-resistant but also floats on water. Even if it accidentally falls into the water while boating or river tracing, there's no need to worry about losing it.
- Featherlight Design: Weighing only about 28.3 grams (1 oz.), it is extremely lightweight and compact, fitting into a first-aid kit, survival pack, or life vest pocket with virtually no burden.
- Intuitive and Fast Operation: No power or assembly required; it operates with even a weak light source, making it the purest and most effective survival gear for extreme environments.

How to Use an Emergency Signal Mirror
- Catch the Sunlight: Hold the signal mirror in one hand and aim the mirror at the sun (or a strong light source). Adjust the angle so that the sunlight reflects onto your other hand or a nearby surface to confirm that the mirror has caught the light.
- Aim Through the Hole: Move the mirror in front of your eye and look through the central hole at your target for signaling (e.g., a distant helicopter, boat, search team).
- Align the Light Spot: At this point, you will see a bright spot of light appear on the "sighting grid." Adjust the mirror's angle to overlap this light spot with the target (the target object) seen through the aiming hole.
- Send the Signal: Once the light spot is aligned with the target, it means the reflected beam is precisely projected to the other party. You can gently wobble the mirror to create a "flashing effect," which is more likely to attract the attention of search and rescue personnel than a continuous beam.
COGHLAN'S
