Size Guide

We recommend following the BARMAH HATS size guide below to determine your perfect fit.

  1. Use a fabric measuring tape (tailor's tape) to measure your head circumference.
  2. Place the tape approximately 1 cm above your ears.
  3. It is best to choose a hat size where the inner circumference is slightly larger than your measured head size.
  4. As BARMAH HATS sizing runs slightly smaller than standard Asian sizes, we recommend selecting one size larger than your usual size to ensure a more comfortable fit.

Care Instructions

BARMAH HATS suede hats are highly durable. With just a little care, your BARMAH hat will last you for many years.

  • Suede Care Guide
  • We recommend cleaning your suede hat once a week to prevent the buildup of dirt and keep your hat in great condition!
  • Using a suede brush is essential; weekly brushing helps remove dirt and prevents the suede fibers from matting.
  • Do not use regular leather oil on the suede side of the hat; use only products specifically designed for suede.
  • It is not recommended to store your leather hat in the storage bag long-term; it is best stored lying flat.

  • How to remove oil stains from suede
  • You can use talcum powder or cornstarch. Sprinkle the powder evenly over the oil stain and let it sit for a few hours to absorb the oil.
  • After a few hours, brush away the powder. Note that this method is ineffective for sweat stains.
  • You can also try using a suede eraser to remove dry stains.

  • Avoid getting the suede hat wet
  • If suede gets wet, it may shrink or lose its original shape.
  • If the hat gets wet, shake off excess liquid immediately and allow it to dry completely before wearing it again.
  • There are many waterproofing sprays on the market designed for suede and leather products that can help protect your hat.
  • Read the instructions carefully before using these products to ensure they are suitable for suede.
  • Always perform a spot test on a small, inconspicuous area before applying to the entire hat.

  • How to clean stubborn stains and sweat stains
  • For stubborn stains and sweat stains, we recommend spot cleaning with a mild detergent and water.
  • We suggest mixing baby shampoo with warm water at a 1:15 ratio, gently scrubbing the stained area with a suede brush, then wiping with a damp cloth, and allowing it to air dry while laying flat.
  • Once dry, we recommend brushing the hat with a suede brush to restore the suede's texture. Ensure the hat is completely dry before wearing or storing.
