Origin of Nalgene
Dating back to 1949, a chemist named Emanuel Goldberg of Rochester, New York, developed the first plastic pipette holder for laboratory use. Together with three workers, he founded Nalge Company at 625 South Goodman Street.

Today, Nalgene is one of the largest manufacturers of bioengineering, laboratory and medical containers in the United States.
