Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why do you want to buy this kind of oil barrel?
A: I'm sure many of you have used a plastic bucket to hold gasoline. Plastic buckets are designed for water, not gasoline. They're not strong enough and easily break when dropped, especially during times of high gas prices. A liter of gasoline costs about NT$35, and a 20-liter plastic bucket holds NT$700 worth of gasoline. When the bucket hits the ground, NT$700 goes up in smoke, creating safety concerns. You can buy a fuel can to protect your 20 liters of gasoline. Plastic buckets are also made of petroleum, and gasoline and the plastic bucket undergo a chemical reaction. If gasoline is left in a plastic bucket for a long time, it will become sticky. Adding gasoline to your car over time could clog your carburetor!

Q: Will you use plastic buckets to carry gasoline from time to time?
A: Plastic drums don't seal well, and gasoline fills the car, making you dizzy. Would you feel comfortable driving like that? As long as the oil cap and vent are securely locked, gasoline odors won't escape. That's the benefit of buying this drum!

Q: Do I need to wash it before use?
A: Actually, no, because there will be a little bit of oil left in the oil barrel. That is left over from the manufacturing process. It is not a problem. If you really mind, please add a little gasoline or diesel to the oil barrel, shake it, and pour it into the waste oil recycling bin. Do not add water! Adding water will definitely cause rust!

Q: Will the oil drum leak if I turn it upside down?
A: It will never leak (unless the gasket is old), it doesn’t even smell, and you can stack items on it.

Q: The oil tank is 20 liters. Can I fill it up to 20 liters?
A: Yes, you can fill it up to 20.5 liters! It will be 0.5 liters more, but we generally recommend filling it up to 18 liters. It is lighter and less likely to overflow when pouring gasoline.

Q: What types of oil can be loaded?
A: Gasoline, diesel, motor oil, kerosene, stain remover, all kinds of fuel can be loaded.
