The Grivel G10 crampons are versatile, designed for both beginners new to mountaineering and experienced climbers, making them an ideal choice for glacier trekking, snow hiking, and lightweight mountaineering.
10-point steel design:
- 6 front points provide solid grip and stability.
- 4 rear points enhance balance and support.
Wide front binding design: The Wide front binding accommodates wider mountaineering boot styles, ensuring more stable coverage and fixation at the front of the crampons.
Fully compatible New-Classic binding system: Features the upgraded EVO dual-basket strap system, which is universal and not boot-specific. It can be securely fitted to both rigid mountaineering boots and general heavy-duty boots, regardless of whether they have front or rear welts.
Advanced terrain adaptability: Unlike the G1, which features rounded, blunt points oriented toward gentle hiking, the G10 utilizes a sharper, tapered point design that easily penetrates hard, sun-crusted ice. The elongated points provide firmer lateral stability when traversing slopes, making these a top choice for navigating snowy terrain during high-altitude mountaineering seasons.
Larger anti-balling plates: Compared to G1 crampons, these feature larger anti-balling plates that effectively cover a greater area of the sole, suitable for larger boot sizes.
