This classic assisted-braking belay device is back with a major upgrade! It features a more robust construction and comes in bold, unique new color designs. Intuitive to operate and highly durable, it is a popular choice for lead and top-rope belaying, both in indoor climbing gyms and on outdoor crags.
Assisted-braking function: Provides additional braking force, suitable for lead climbing and top-rope belaying, enhancing safety.
All-metal construction: The internal load-bearing and friction components are made entirely of stainless steel, while the housing is made of aluminum alloy. Compared to devices with plastic parts, the BIRDIE offers superior wear resistance and longevity, maintaining consistent braking performance even under high-frequency use.
Smooth rope handling: The streamlined design allows the rope to slide along the axis of the device, preventing twists and tangles and extending the life of the rope.
Ergonomic design: Equipped with an ergonomic control handle for a comfortable grip and intuitive operation, suitable for climbers of all experience levels.
Compatible rope diameter: Suitable for single ropes with a diameter of 8.5 mm to 10.5 mm.
Individual identification number: Each device has a unique idN number for easy equipment management and tracking.
