Size Guide

We recommend using the BARMAH HATS size guide below to determine your perfect fit.

  1. Use a fabric measuring tape (tailor's tape) to measure your head circumference.
  2. Place the tape approximately 1 cm above your ears to take the measurement.
  3. It is best to choose a hat size with an inner circumference slightly larger than your head measurement.
  4. As BARMAH HATS tend to run slightly smaller than typical Asian sizes, we recommend choosing one size larger than your usual size to ensure a more comfortable fit.

Care Instructions

BARMAH HATS suede hats are highly durable; with a little care, your BARMAH hat will last you for many years to come.

  • Suede Care Guide
  • We recommend cleaning your suede hat weekly to prevent dirt build-up and keep your hat in excellent condition!
  • Using a suede brush is essential. Weekly brushing helps remove dirt and prevents the suede nap from matting.
  • Do not use regular leather oil on the suede side of the hat; only products specifically designed for suede should be used.
  • We do not recommend storing your leather hat in its bag for long periods; the best way to store it is to lay it flat.

  • How to remove oil stains from suede
  • You can use talcum powder or cornstarch. Sprinkle the powder evenly over the oil stain and let it sit for a few hours to allow the powder to absorb the oil.
  • After a few hours, simply brush the powder away. Please note that this method is not effective for sweat stains.
  • You can also try using a suede eraser to remove dry stains.

  • Avoid getting your suede hat wet
  • Once suede gets wet, it may shrink or lose its original shape.
  • If the hat does accidentally get wet, shake off the excess liquid immediately and let the hat dry completely before wearing it again.
  • There are many waterproofing sprays on the market specifically designed for suede and leather products that can help protect your hat.
  • Read the instructions carefully before using these waterproofing products to ensure they are suitable for suede.
  • Always test on a small, inconspicuous area of the hat first to ensure there is no adverse reaction before applying it to the entire surface.

  • How to clean stubborn stains and sweat stains
  • For stubborn stains and sweat stains, we recommend spot cleaning with mild detergent and water.
  • We suggest mixing baby shampoo with warm water at a 1:15 ratio. Use a suede brush to gently scrub the stained area, then lightly rinse the area with a damp cloth and allow the hat to air dry completely while lying flat.
  • Once the hat is dry, we recommend brushing it with a suede brush to restore the texture of the suede nap. Ensure the hat is completely dry before wearing or storing.
