The first tent created by Bo Hilleberg was designed specifically to overcome the most difficult and extreme climates. At the time, its unique integrated inner and outer tent structure was an unprecedented innovation in the market.

Every Hilleberg tent is sewn with the name of the craftsperson who made it.

Hilleberg has a mission to use the best materials available on the market. To ensure the highest quality manufacturing process, they established a brand-new factory in Estonia in the late 90s. Every sewer takes personal responsibility for their work, stitching their name onto the tent, and each tent is pitched and meticulously inspected before shipping.

Hilleberg tents do not use seam tape.

When sewing the tents, the craftspeople use a flat-seam technique to ensure each needle passes accurately through four layers of fabric, utilizing a cool-needle process to prevent the needle holes from enlarging due to thermal friction. This unique method allows the outer tent to remain durable and highly water-resistant even without the use of seam sealer.

Hilleberg owns its own factory for tent production.
