The Spectra LB 400 Land-Based Watermaker is a fixed, modular water production system utilizing high-efficiency Reverse Osmosis (RO) technology, capable of processing seawater or brackish water into fresh water, with a production rate of up to 64 liters per hour.
The LB 400 employs Spectra’s patented Clark Pump energy recovery technology, which repurposes system pressure to reduce the power required for desalination. System power consumption is approximately 300–600 W, with seawater desalination possible at as low as 350 W, making it ideal for integration with solar or wind power in off-grid or power-limited environments.
The LB 400 features a simple, reliable analog control and instrumentation design, avoiding complex electronic control systems; meanwhile, it utilizes a fixed recovery rate design, simplifying operation and reducing the need for constant personnel monitoring. The entire system features a modular design, allowing for the configuration of appropriate feed water pumps and pre/post-treatment equipment based on local water sources, power supply methods, and installation requirements.
