Product details

ZANE ARTS GEU TC Tarp

The GEU TC is made from a cotton and polyester blend (TC material), making it suitable for use in autumn and winter. The height of the four corners can be adjusted to customize the dimensions of the tarp as needed.

✱This product does not include tent stakes (Recommended quantity: 10 x 28cm forged stakes, TO-528).

Features

Ideal Tarp Dimensions

While the space between the poles forms a hexagonal shape smaller than size M, the actual usable area is equivalent to a rectangular L-sized space, resulting in a hybrid tarp designed to achieve the ideal dimensions.

Smooth Texture

To ensure that everyone can easily set up a beautiful-looking tarp, the fabric shape of the GEU follows the lines of tension to minimize unnatural diagonal stress.

TC Fabric for Autumn and Winter

TC is a blend of 35% cotton and 65% polyester. Compared to synthetic fibers, cotton has a higher moisture content at room temperature, making it resistant to holes from accidental sparks.

A Balance of Aesthetics and Functionality

While ensuring a large usable area and practical functionality, the design incorporates soft curves and four distinct corners, creating a beautiful silhouette that stands out in the natural landscape.

Protection Against Sun and Rain

By setting the four corners closer to the ground, you can concentrate the shade under the tarp and reduce the impact of rain. Adjusting the height of the four corners allows you to adapt to different environmental needs.

Aluminum Alloy Poles

The GEU TC features aluminum alloy poles. Compared to iron poles, they offer higher strength and lower weight, providing firm support for the heavier TC material.

Tarp Connection Belt

Includes a connection belt (long webbing) that allows you to set up the tarp and tent with an overlap. This is a very convenient accessory when setting up a tent in campsites with limited space.

Hanging Lanterns

When not used as a connection belt, it can be used to hang lanterns or other items. By securing the belt between two poles, you can use the 3 loops on the strap to hang various gear.

Storage

Both the tarp body and the poles can be stored within the carry bag. To make identification easy, the carry bag for the synthetic version is grey, while the TC version is black.

TC Product Characteristics

  • This product is not fully waterproof

The TC material used is a blend of natural and synthetic fibers. Due to the characteristics of this fabric, when wet, the natural fibers swell to fill the gaps in the weave. While this can reduce water leakage for short periods, it cannot achieve complete waterproofing. Please note that water may also leak through the seams.

  • Water-repellent effects are not permanent

The water-repellent coating on the fabric surface is not permanent. With increased use, the effect may diminish, or rain spots may appear. Please understand that water-repellent performance is not permanent and issues arising from this are outside the scope of product warranty.

  • Regarding color variations or minor defects in TC material

During the production of TC material, phenomena such as weaving inconsistencies, minor fabric damage, and uneven dyeing may occur. Please be aware that these are not covered under warranty.

  • Fabric is prone to discoloration

This fabric is susceptible to discoloration when exposed to UV light. Please avoid long-term continuous use or use in environments with high UV exposure, such as beaches.

  • Ensure thorough drying before storage

TC material absorbs moisture easily; please ensure it is fully dried after use. If stored in a damp state, it may develop mold, odors, staining, or degradation.

Fabric Introduction

  • ZANE ARTS GEU TC uses TC fabric.
  • TC material is a blend of 65% polyester and 35% cotton.
  • The "T" in TC stands for Tetron, and the "C" stands for Cotton; Tetron is a brand name for polyester.
  • Compared to synthetic fibers, cotton has higher moisture content at room temperature; even if sparks land on the fabric, the moisture helps protect it from melting or burning, which is why TC is considered relatively fire-resistant.
  • Additionally, cotton has the property of swelling when wet. When the tarp gets wet, the cotton fibers expand, filling the gaps between the warp and weft yarns, which helps reduce water seepage.
  • Because the fabric can absorb moisture, it helps mitigate condensation, creating a more comfortable interior environment.
