How to use the signal mirror?

  1. Hold the mirror in one hand and look through the central aiming hole at your target (such as an aircraft or ship).
  2. Use your other hand to adjust the angle of the mirror to catch the reflection of the sun.
  3. When a bright spot appears in the sight-grid, the beam is aimed at the target.
  4. Tip: Even if you do not see a search and rescue team, periodically sweep the horizon to increase your chances of being spotted.
