The ORIENT EXPRESS is a directional HMS carabiner specifically designed for climbing belays. Featuring a unique internal gate at the bottom, it securely locks the carabiner onto the belay loop of your harness, effectively eliminating the risk of cross-loading caused by the carabiner rotating during belaying.
Anti-Rotation Directional Design: Equipped with a built-in "positioning spring bar" that can be opened and closed, it locks the carabiner firmly onto the harness's belay loop. This ensures the carabiner remains in the strongest major-axis orientation during operation, preventing the belay device from shifting and causing cross-loading, thereby significantly enhancing safety.
Eliminates Cross-Loading Risks: Prevents the carabiner from rotating during climbing or falls, avoiding loading on the weakest minor axis.
Perfectly Suited for HMS Specs: The wide top radius provides excellent rope fluidity, making it ideal for use with various manual or assisted-braking belay devices.
