Project overview

In response to the devastating impact of Hurricanes Irma and Maria in Puerto Rico, World Hope dispatched relief supplies to the capital, San Juan, and distributed them to local residents. With the region's freshwater infrastructure destroyed, one of the goals this time is to distribute water filters and hygiene kits to Puerto Ricans. To prevent outbreaks of infection and disease, it is crucial for those in need to make contaminated water sources safe to drink and use for sanitation purposes.

To successfully prevent disease, it is necessary to provide safe drinking water to as many people as possible in a short period of time. In the San Juan area, while residents have access to water, filtration systems are not activated. Until local water infrastructure is fully restored and operational again, KATADYN BeFree Gravity Water Filter 3.0L is available to keep filtered water within the home.
