Fiji Eco-Resort Implements SPECTRA LB-2800 | Solar-Powered Mobile Water Production Solution
An eco-diving resort on Namena Island, Fiji, needed a freshwater solution that could run on solar power and be easily moved before severe weather arrived.
SPECTRA integrated an LB-2800, pre-treatment, chlorination, and filtered water distribution system into an enclosed trailer measuring approximately 1.5 x 2.4 meters, allowing the water production equipment to be moved according to the island environment.

Complete Water Treatment Process in a Single Trailer
The water production system doesn't just include the reverse osmosis main unit. This trailer also integrates media filtration, chlorination, and filtered water distribution systems, allowing seawater from entry to storage and use to be managed within the same framework.

Automatic Operation When Solar Power is Sufficient
The customized control panel automatically starts water production when the solar panels output sufficient power, ensuring coordination between energy and freshwater production. This design reduces reliance on the fixed grid and fuel, and makes daily operations easier to integrate into the resort's management processes.
When typhoons or other severe weather approaches, the trailer can be quickly disconnected from the water source and moved to a safer location, preventing critical equipment from being exposed to prolonged wind, waves, and flood risks.

Mabu Valley Observation: Water supply design for island facilities must consider not only normal water production but also how to protect equipment during typhoon season. The mobile trailer integrates water production, energy, and evacuation capabilities, making the system more suitable for island environments.
