ZANE ARTS, a design concept integrating functionality and art, creates outdoor products that allow nature and humans to live in harmony.

Founded in 2018, the head office is located in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture, Japan, adjacent to the Hida Mountains, known as the "Northern Alps".
Four new products were released for the first time in 2019 - ZEKU-M, GIGI-1, ROGA-4, and GEU. They use earth tones, simple lines and delicate tailoring. They have an appearance that can be called a work of art. They were available before they were launched. Very high level of discussion.

[About the brand founder]
Mr. Kei Kosugi, the founder of ZANE ARTS, is also the brand designer and manager. He uses the Japanese Zen saying "ZA (ZA) して半畳, NE (NE) て一畳" as his motto. This sentence literally means It means "half a tatami is needed when sitting, and one tatami is needed when lying down." It describes the space that human beings really need for life. In fact, at most, only one tatami is enough. The deeper implication is that we should understand our own value and not pursue too much beyond what we really need.

Mr. Kosugi has accumulated considerable experience in the development and manufacturing of outdoor equipment in his past career. Like many outdoor people, he likes mountaineering, camping, fishing and other nature-related leisure activities. He believes that through these The experience of outdoor activities can help you understand the appropriate distance and balance between nature and humans, and this is also the value of outdoor activities.

[Brand naming and LOGO design]
"There aren't many things we really need."
For those who have experience in overnight mountaineering trips, they should be able to understand the meaning of this sentence, because when preparing for the trip and packing the luggage, when thinking about what equipment to bring, the screening criteria are often based on "whether it is necessary", which is very appropriate. The original meaning of "seat is half a bed, sleep is a bed". ZANE ARTS hopes to use this principle as an ideal for product development and manufacturing, and strives to practice it, creating through subtractive thinking, not excessively pursuing convenience, and designing just the right products. Therefore, regarding the brand naming and LOGO design, we are inspired by the motto of the brand founder, Mr. Kei Kosugi, and we also hope to remain humble and cautious in every step of company operation and product development.

ZA in "ZANE" comes from the Japanese "seat" (ざ), and NE comes from the Japanese "bed" (ね). The official standard pronunciation of ZANE is "ゼイン". The LOGO is composed of ZANE's "Z" and "N". Z represents the way a person is sitting (zaして半畳, sitting on half a tatami), and N represents the way a person is lying down and sleeping (内て一畳, Lying on a tatami), as long as Z (the person sitting) is rolled 90 degrees clockwise, it will become N (the person lying down and sleeping).

Implementing minimalist art in outdoor life, "ZANE ARTS" also represents "Zen and Art".

[Product design concept]
When engaging in outdoor activities, the functionality of equipment is very important, but if you always focus on improving functionality, you often need to make adjustments in the final stage of the product, because such a design does not necessarily bring beauty. Of course, if it is an outdoor activity in a severe environment, it is necessary to pursue functionality, but if it is a more leisurely camping or outdoor photography, the purpose is to appreciate the beauty of nature, whether the equipment used has "function" and "aesthetics" Is it possible to have both? It is a conflicting and not easy task to pursue functionality while maintaining beauty in design, but ZANE ARTS has done it.

Adhering to the concept of "fusion of function and art", we aim to create highly artistic, simple, and lightweight products. We chose a color that can stand out beautifully in nature - sandstone, so that when the equipment is used, it can Integrate into the scene you see without any violation and become part of the beautiful picture.

When he founded ZANE ARTS, Mr. Kosugi said that this would be a brand that "invests considerable time and energy in careful design and research and development in order to make the products reach the level of works of art." He also hoped to support outdoor activities through this brand. people, thus allowing more people to understand the beauty of nature.

ZANE ARTS,
It is not only a provider of outdoor equipment, but also a bridge that "allows users and nature to get along and talk comfortably." We hope that more people can get out of the hustle and bustle of the city and enter the quiet and beautiful outdoor world with ZANE ARTS.
